Any handset purchased from Mr. SimCard can be returned in the first 30 days as long as there is no physical destruction, no water damage, and you mst return everthing including the box. Quad band (also known as quad-band or quadband) literally means four bands. Most people come across the term when it is used to describe a mobile phone supporting four frequency bands (850/900/1800/1900 MHz). Having more than one frequency in one device is useful to enable roaming between different countries that peg the allowed transmission frequency at different values or to allow a better coverage in the same country.
Unlocked phones recognize a SIM card from any carrier. GSM cell phones are designed to use a Subscriber Identification Module (SIM) card, or microchip that stores subscriber data. The SIM card is issued by a carrier and provides cell service by activating any phone into which it is inserted. A locked phone, however, will only recognize a SIM card from a particular carrier. If the cell phone is unlocked, it will recognize a SIM card from any carrier. The "lock" is a software setting that keeps the cell phone "loyal" to one carrier.
