One Network is the world’s first borderless mobile telecoms network service launched by Zain in Africa in September 2006 in Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda. By November 2007, a further nine African countries Democratic Republic of the Congo, Republic of the Congo, Gabon, Burkina Faso, Chad, Malawi, Niger, Nigeria and Sudan became connected offering over 400 million people in twelve countries across east, west and central Africa the opportunity to communicate freely across geographical borders without roaming call surcharges and without having to pay to receive incoming calls, enjoying the benefits of being treated as ‘local’ customers in any of these countries.
In August 2008 Zain linked two continents with One Network with Bahrain, Iraq, Jordan and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia connecting to the 12 African One Network countries. In December 2008, Ghana was added to the the One Network portfolio.
Over 500 million people in 19 countries are now connected across Africa and the Middle East in one borderless mobile network covering an area more than twice the size of Europe. The service has revolutionized and replaced the concept of roaming in Bahrain, Burkina Faso, Chad, Republic of Congo, Democratic Republic of Congo, Gabon, Ghana, Iraq, Jordan, Kenya, Kuwait (data only), Malawi, Niger, Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, Sierra Leone, Sudan, Tanzania and Uganda and fully changed the way how people are communicating with friends, colleagues and family members while away from home. Zain Al-Kul Plan
The Zain Al-Kul rate plan has several unique features that make it a winner in our eyes. First there is no expiration date, or "Open Validity" as its called. The calling rate for Zain to Zain calls is 3 Jordanian piasters per min. Zain to other Networks is 8 Jordanian piasters per minute. When using the Home Network's recharge voucher:
Follow the instructions on the back of the Home Network's recharge voucher and dial the USSD string applicable, followed by the hidden pin. E.g. for Zain Ghana *134*xxxx xxxx xxxx#
When using the Visited Network's recharge voucher:
Purchase the Visited Network's local recharge voucher; Dial *138* followed by the hidden pin.
