Big Dog Sim for iPhone / Android

The Big Dog is a USA sim card with a telephone number valid for one year. When activated the line starts with a $100 cash balance. The sim will stay active for one year even if the balance is consumed. The sim has two component to it - The Talk/Text side and the Data side

Talk & Text
The talk and text side is charged at $25/month for unlimited USA talk & text. Once activated the plan will run 30 days. We set the plan to not renew at the end of 30 days. For example - If you left the USA on June 10 and had a $50 balance on June 10 - You will have the same balance when you return in September ****

Included Calls / Texts
While in the USA - All incoming calls are included whether from numbers in the USA or from overseas (unlimited). All outgoing calls placed to USA telephone number are included... Yes calls to mobiles and landlines are included (unlimited).
While in the USA - All incoming text messages are included (unlimited). All outgoing texts to USA numbers are included. International SMS cost 25c per text. The 25c is deducted from the cash balance on the line.

International calls
International direct dial calls are not included, and are charged at killer rates. See rates here.

A better answer is to buy a an international long distance pin from mrsimcard. With this pin (valid 30 days) you will dial an access number, listen to message and then dial the international number followed by the # key. Your call goes through and you pay pennies.

Data
The data side of the sim is charged in 30 day bundles. There are 3 bundles - 50MB/$5, 200MB/$15, 1GB/$25. When you arrive the USA you will want to activate a data bundle to use data. Bundles can be set to renew automatically, but we suggest that you do not as it will deduct from your balance even if you are not in the USA. Once you have a data bundle you can then follow our supplied instructions to setup data on the iPhone or android phone.

Account Tips
Account pin - When you line is activated you will be provided an account pin. This four digit number is used by you or us to make changes on the line. Adding data bundles, checking your account balance, checking the features on the line are examples of these activities. You don't need to, but you can change your account pin. The process of changing the pin requires a text message with the new pin sent direct to the phone number. If you are overseas, you cannot get the message. AT&T does not know the pin when the system generates it. So - only change the pin when you are in the USA.
